People want to be around paintings since their childhood. No one needs to be convinced of that. All of us have this need from the early years. Children are especially interested in color, they create their colorful visions without hesitation. They are able to talk about their paintings in various ways, developing their vocabulary and imagination along the way. This way from the early years they learn to observe the surrounding world and explore the emotions hidden in the color. It would be hard to imagine a home without paintings - it would be a sad space with lifeless souls. This is why we increasingly often go to a gallery or painters workshop to acquire a painting. The worst that could happen while buying one, is searching for paintings on the Internet, which originals we've never seen and we're only interested based on low price or a word from critics. We often also get influenced by the style of a fellow galley or a journalists' opinion. By buying a work that we've never had contact with, we make a big mistake. this way we defy our thoughts, taste, and emotions. Internet exchanges don't define the value of paintings - they are just markets, where buying doesn't allow you to tests the work's effect on your psyche and imagination. During purchase, we must consider two criteria - whether or not it pulls us in and forces us to think and induces emotions - of joy, of peace, of unsettledness, and of excitement or mystery. quick or long examination of the painting lets us decide if the criteria are met and lets us make up our mind. It sparks incomparably more joy to buy a painting in the workshop, if of course possible. This way you can also discuss any unintelligible matters regarding the interpretations of the works. When we're only guided to a gallery or a workshop only by the desire to earn, we shouldn't be thinking but running away. It is very easy to make a mistake in such a situation. Such thinking doesn't let us make a decision based on our own taste and emotions felt towards the work of art. Opinion making media should also not be trusted, because it often happens that writing a few articles can be speculation of critics or of art dealers.
